Some women can be obnoxiously outspoken and overly
opinionated. I’ll take a moment to apologize now because some of you may get
offended, if you’re one of these women, you’re childish. Who has time to point
out every negative detail in someone’s Instagram post or deliberately embarrass
another person by airing their personal business to their many followers? There’s
a saying that says: “What Sally says about Suzie, says more about Sally,” This
couldn’t be any truer. Cattiness is a female trait but this new generation of women are PETTY... It's ridiculous!
Every opinion does not have to be voiced. There’s a thin line between opinions and hating, when you take the time to dissect a person picture to find something negative to say or point out every typo, you’re a hater. A person can post a really pretty picture with their hair, make-up, and outfit all on point. She can have 1300 likes, yet it’ll be that one girl that says, “cute, but she has a pimple on the left side of her forehead.” This pimple that 1299 others didn’t even notice! As if we all don’t get pimples! Just like the picture or keep scrolling. Most of the time these girls (yes, little girls), are insecure and say rude and impolite things to others in attempt to feel better about themselves. Don’t rain on someone else’s parade because you don’t like the person you are.
I can’t understand
why women feel the need to “expose” another woman. Sadly, it’s usually someone
we once considered a friend that’s airing our dirty laundry. Even if you and a
person have a falling out, confidential information should remain private.
After all, exposing someone says way more about your character than the person
you’re exposing. You’re just as good as the company you keep. So if you’re
laughing along with those haters and exposers, you’re one of them. When my
friends are wrong, I don’t think it’s cute or funny. Instead of going along
with it, I tell them they’re wrong.
If I’m coming off as a modern day civil rights leader or women's activist, I
don’t care! Slander is immoral, unattractive, and unnecessary. We've all been guilty of it in some form or fashion but there comes a time when we have to grow up and set examples for the next generation. If women put as
much time into uplifting and motivating others as they did degrading one
another, we’d be so much farther ahead in society than we are. We were all
taught, if you don’t have anything nice to say… SHUT UP! Oh, about that
apology, I’m sorry that I’m not sorry.
Sincerely Unapologetic,
F.C.
